Mediation Proceedings

The Federal Government Commissioner for Matters Concerning Persons with Disabilities operates a mediation office in accordance with Section 16 of the Federal Government Act (BGG). The mediation office is tasked with resolving conflicts between persons with disabilities and federal government agencies.

You can contact the mediation office if you are not satisfied with the responses you received through the contact options listed above. The goal is not to determine a winner or a loser. The mediation process is free of charge. You also do not need legal representation.

On the mediation board’s website, you will find all the information you need about the mediation process. There, you can read about how the mediation process works and how to file a request for mediation. You can also access the request form in easy-to-read language or in German Sign Language
